According to Miller, the family and friends of Angel, who died during a California robbery incident, would not want the robbers to be prosecuted. Angel had reportedly been a social movement activist and anarchist for a long time. Angel’s family stated that the victim did not believe in carceral punishment or incarceration as an effective solution to social injustice.
