A man named Max Rocael Calel Sanic, aged 20 and from Gainesville, Georgia, is currently on the run after a warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with the murder of Juana Jose, a 22-year-old woman who was pregnant with her second child at the time of her death, according to a report by Fox News on February 8, 2023.

The tragedy occurred on the 29th of January when Juana was rushed to the hospital unresponsive, and her brother Jamie discovered her dead in the family home. An autopsy confirmed that she was strangled to death, and her unborn child also died as a result of the attack.

Based on a report by Fox5 Atlanta on February 7, 2023, the police are investigating the case and have charged Sanic with malice murder and felony feticide. They have located his car, but he remains missing. Gainesville police Lt. Juana’s family stated that Sanic was at the apartment before her death, but they do not know what happened. Jamie, Juana’s brother, said that they were just friends and not in a romantic relationship. The police have not yet determined a motive for the killing.
