Who is eligible for these one-time relief checks?
An article in NBC Connecticut says that to be eligible for the one-time relief checks, one must have worked as an essential worker in Connecticut any time between March 10, 2020 to May 7, 2022. Reportedly, the Hero Pay program followed the priority list of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s vaccination. This means that the relief checks prioritized healthcare workers, teachers, food and agricultural workers, manufacturing workers, grocery store workers, and childcare workers. One must have also worked in a private sector only, hence, workers of the municipal, state, or federal government are not eligible.
