According to Vibes, The state of Minnesota has sent out checks to people who didn’t get their stimulus money on time. These checks are worth up to $1,300 and were part of a program to help people with taxes. People who got these checks have two years to cash them.

The government agency in charge of these checks, the Minnesota Department of Revenue, has sent out almost 2.1 million checks, totaling almost $1 billion. They did this because of a new law passed in May 2023. People who got these checks got them through direct deposit or by mail between August and September, and some people got extra checks in November and December.
