New Housing Project Brings Hope to Seniors in Haynes Neighborhood

According to techsprint2021, A new housing project is coming to Nashville‘s Haynes neighborhood. It will have 254 apartments for seniors who work but don’t earn enough money to afford a normal apartment. This project is a team effort between Born Again Church, some local builders, and Amazon‘s Housing Fund.

The project will have many helpful services like job training, health care, and places to eat, shop, and get a haircut. The apartments will be for families who earn between 40% and 80% of the average income in Nashville. The idea for this project came from talking with Born Again Church about creating more fair housing options for seniors who work hard.

Amazon Steps Up: $19 Million Grant Supports Affordable Housing in Nashville

Amazon is lending $19 million to help build this project. This is part of their effort to help build affordable homes in cities where they have offices. This project shows that working together can help solve big problems like not having enough affordable housing in Nashville.
