Amazon’s Affordable Housing Initiative: Building a Better Future for Low-Income Families and Workers
According to a news, Amazon is adding $1.4 billion to its program to help Americans have affordable places to live. The company wants to make sure that Americans who work for them can afford to live near their offices. Amazon has already helped create or preserve 21,000 affordable homes in three areas: Washington state, Virginia, and Tennessee.
The extra money will go to the same areas, and Amazon hopes to help build or fix 14,000 more homes. The company wants to help Americans who make lower incomes, like those who earn 30% to 80% of the area’s average income.
