According to Deadline, Georgia lawmakers have finished their meetings and decided not to change the rules about tax breaks for movie and TV production. Georgia lawmaker’s decision makes Hollywood, indie producers, and owners of big buildings for filming in Georgia feel better. Kelsey Moore, who works with the Georgia Screen Entertainment Coalition thanked the Georgia lawmakers for supporting the film industry. They say Georgia is still great for making movies and TV shows.

Debate Surrounding Proposed Tax Credit Limit
The bill that didn’t pass called HB 1180 caused a lot of arguments because it wanted to put a limit on how much tax credit money could be used each year. Even though they tried to bring it back at the last minute it still didn’t get enough support. Now, they’ll have to think about it again in the future. But Americas in Georgia especially Georgia lawmakers the mostly agree that movies and TV bring good things to the state’s economy.
