Trinity College Students Push for Statewide Child Tax Credit
According to the report of NBC CONNECTICUT, at Trinity College students shared their study about how money problems affect families in Hartford. Thad Hempel a new student talked about how important it is to know what families go through. He really wants a permanent child tax credit in the state to help them. Meeting people like Maria Núñez who worked hard since she was young made the students even more determined to help.

Even though most people in Connecticut want a child tax credit Rep. Jason Rojas says it is tough to do because of money issues. He says there only so much money the state can spend because of rules about spending. But Jude Staples another student thinks the project can still work. He is positive about getting support from lawmakers. The students are ready to talk to them and turn their research into laws that could help lots of families.
