Arizona’s Department of Revenue (ADOR) has announced the new Direct File tool and FileYourStateTaxes integrated state filing platform debut, giving taxpayers access to a cutting-edge tax filing system shortly. Taxpayers who meet the eligibility requirements can file their federal and state tax returns electronically for free starting on March 12th, making this a historic time for tax filing simplicity. Utilizing directfile.irs.gov, the FileYourStateTaxes initiative makes it simple for taxpayers to electronically file their federal forms. The IRS Direct File trial includes this innovative program. This service offers unprecedented simplicity and accessibility, but due to specific reporting requirements, some taxpayers such as those who received the Arizona Families Tax Rebate in 2023 will not be able to enroll in it.
