Hidden Fees Allegations Resolved: Panera Bets on Settlement to Ease Legal Burden
Panera Bread Settles Lawsuits Over Delivery Fees: Customers May Receive Payouts
According to U.S Sun, customers who placed delivery orders through a popular café chain’s app or website may soon receive payouts from the company following a settlement. The resolution stems from three separate lawsuits alleging that the chain engaged in misleading advertising regarding delivery fees between October 1, 2020, and August 31, 2021. Plaintiffs in the lawsuits claimed that the company imposed hidden fees, resulting in overcharges for delivery orders. Despite Panera‘s denial of any wrongdoing, the company opted to settle to avoid the expenses associated with prolonged litigation.
