Some reservations surrounding public financing for the project Sea Dogs President Geoff Iacuessa remains confident in the team’s enduring commitment to Maine. The Sea Dogs have been a prominent fixture in Portland and boasting a substantial fan base with an average attendance exceeding 6,000 per game during the 2023 season. Their lease with the city owned ballpark extends through 2028 and their affiliation with the Boston Red Sox is secured until 2030.
