According to the published article of  Market Realist, many Americans haven’t claimed their stimulus funds yet. The government gave out a lot of money during the COVID-19 pandemic to help people but not everyone got what they were supposed to. There’s still about $1.5 billion left that people haven’t take which averages to about $893 per person. If you were supposed to get a stimulus check but didn’t or only got part of  you can still get that money. But if you lost your check or don’t have a social security number you can’t get the extra money. You need to check online or look at letters the IRS sent to see how much money you were supposed to get.

Claim Your Unclaimed Stimulus Funds Before It’s Too Late

You need to fill out some forms when you file your taxes for 2020 or 2021. Most tax software can help you with this. Then you send those forms to the IRS. But you have to do it before May 17, 2020 if you missed your 2021 stimulus money or before April 15, 2025 if you missed your 2021 stimulus money. It’s important to do it before the deadline so you don’t miss out on the extra cash.
