According to The US Sun, A new program in Fresno County, California, is offering help to families who are struggling with money. The program gives $500 monthly checks to 150 families for one year. This money can be used for things like food, childcare, and home expenses. The program starts in the summer, and families have to meet three conditions to get the money.

First, families must live in southwest Fresno or Huron. Second, they need to have children who are five years old or younger, or they must be pregnant. Finally, their income should be 80% or less of what most people in their area earn. Families in southwest Fresno should earn $30,000 or less per year, while those in Huron should earn $35,000 or less.
