Expanded Pennsylvania Property Tax Program

Governor Josh Shapiro has expanded Pennsylvania Property Tax/Rent Rebate program. The expanded Pennsylvania property tax rebate program is making thousands of older Pennsylvanians and people with disabilities eligible for the first time.

The Department of Revenue is urging newly eligible individuals to apply for the Pennsylvania property tax rebate program as soon as possible to verify their age and eligibility. Rebates for the Pennsylvania property tax rebate program and rent paid in 2023 are now open for application.

According to a published article by SmartNews, first-time filers of the Pennsylvania property tax rebate program should expect additional verification steps and may receive their Pennsylvania property tax rebates between July 1st and September 1st, 2024.

It is recommended to file online for the Pennsylvania property tax rebate program through myPATH for faster processing and to track the status of your Pennsylvania property tax rebate.
