Funding for the SAFER Grant Program and the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program is included in the recently signed budget by President Biden. The purpose of this funding allocation is to strengthen local fire departments by giving them more staff and equipment, which will improve their capacity to handle emergencies.
Colorado residents with disabilities and older adults are benefitting from the Property Tax/Rent/Heat (PTC) rebate program. With an expected distribution of over $7 million, eligible individuals can receive up to $1,044.
Criteria include full-year Colorado residency, age qualifications, and specific income thresholds.

Alaskans can now apply for the 2024 Permanent Fund Dividend, with applications open until March 31. Last year’s payments are nearing completion, and the 2024 dividend, valued at $1,312, aims to provide ongoing financial support to residents through a rolling application process.
