Tax Rebate Check: Here’s How To Claim Your Extra Money

Americans across the country are looking forward to extra sources of money, this time the Revenue Department advised the Americans to claim the tax rebate checks.

Millions of Americans across the country continue to combat the effects of the pandemic and the rising inflation rate. Luckily, some states have already released their tax rebate checks and Economic Impact Payments to help the Americans in this time of financial crisis.

In a published article in KOAT, the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department advised the taxpayers to search its database and file a claim. The department said that more than $6 million was returned in undeliverable tax rebates for 2022 that were turned over to state unclaimed property office.

How to File a Claim?

The New Mexico Taxation and Department said that taxpayers who did not receive their 2023 tax rebate checks should contact them as soon as possible. Moreover, New Mexico has roughly 11,500 rebate checks that were returned by the postal service as undeliverable.

Furthermore, the taxation department said that it needs an updated mailing address to send those rebates to the eligible taxpayers. They are advised to visit the official website of the taxation department to know how to file a claim and receive the rebate checks.
