Millions of seniors and veterans across the country are about to receive $2,000 in monthly payments as part of the Biden administration’s plan.
$2,000 in Monthly Payments
Pres. Joe Biden and his administration announced that they plan to increase the monthly payments of the Social Security Benefits for seniors and veterans. Currently, they are receiving $1,800, but Biden and his administration plan to add $200.
In a published article in MARCA, this plan is already part of the plan of the present administration to help the recipients with the increasing inflation rate. However, the federal government has set criteria to make sure that only those who are eligible can qualify for the new monthly payment.

Who Are Eligible?
According to a published article in Yahoo News, if this plan comes to fruition, the new $2,000 in monthly payments will be sent to people with disabilities, low-income families, and senior citizens based on criteria established by each state government.
Furthermore, the assistance is intended for households with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of up to $75,000 for individuals, up to $150,000 for married couples filing jointly, and up to $112,500 for heads of households. Veterans, individuals aged 65 or older, and those already receiving social benefits don’t need to take any action to receive the stimulus.
