Lake Forest Elementary School’s Students Enjoy Free Meals Every School Day

The program was designed to provide children at the school with healthy and free meals including breakfast and lunch. The greatest catch here is that there is no free meals application required thanks to the Community Eligibility Provision.

This has helped the FCS to remove administrative and printing costs as well as the burden for families. According to GPB, the free meals scheme was made possible through the support they receive from the U.S. Department of Agriculture under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.

Families Outside Lake Forest Elementary School May Also Benefit From The Free Meals Program

Meanwhile, families at other schools may also avail of free meals, these include children in households currently enjoying benefits from SNAP or TANF, foster children under the care of a foster agency or court, and children considered homeless, runaway, or migrant.
