SSI Double Payment: When Will These Two Checks Arrive in March?

Following the schedule, the Social Security Administration (SSA) will issue a double payment of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) to beneficiaries this coming March. On March 1, the SSA will issue the SSI payments for the month of March. In addition, the SSA will also issue the SSI payments for the month of April on March 31.

According to Heilman, the SSA payment schedule states that the SSI payments will be issued on the first day of each month except when the date falls on a weekend or a holiday. When this happens, the SSI payments will be issued on the preceding weekday instead which results to a double payment. That being said, since the first day of April falls on a Saturday, the SSI payments are issued on March 31, Friday, instead.

Other Months with SSI Double Payment

According to Quirós Villalba, March is not the only month with a double payment of SSI from the SSA. In the year 2023, the months June, September, and December can also expect to receive a double payment. In June, the payments will be on June 1 and 30. In September, the double payment will be on September 1 and 29. In December, the payments will be on December 1 and 29 as well.
