Investigation into Inmate’s Death at Fulton County Detention Center
Contraband Allegations Heighten Concerns at Fulton County Jail
According to KFVS12, in Fulton, Kentucky authorities are investigating a tragic incident at the Fulton County Detention Center involving the death of a 40-year-old inmate Charlina M. Easley from Dresden, Tennessee. The Kentucky State Police Post 1 was alerted to Easley being found unresponsive in her cell around 4 p.m. on Friday July 12. Despite being swiftly transported to a nearby medical facility she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. A medical investigation was promptly conducted on Easley with toxicology results pending to determine the exact cause of her death.
During the investigation into Easley’s death detectives discovered troubling information involving another inmate 42-year-old Brandy Reynolds from South Fulton, Tennessee. Reynolds allegedly had hidden fentanyl on her when she entered the jail. Authorities suspect Reynolds provided this fentanyl to Easley and perhaps other female inmates. As a result Reynolds is facing serious charges including six counts of bringing illegal items into the jail and she remains in custody at the Fulton County Jail as the legal process continues.
