According to AZCapitolTimes, A special key was stolen from a place where votes are counted in Maricopa County. The key was taken on June 20. The police started an investigation and arrested a 27-year-old man named Walter Ringfield. He was accused of stealing the key and damaging property.

Ringfield also stole some personal items from a Senate employee’s desk on June 15. The items included coins and other small things. A security guard saw Ringfield taking the items and stopped him. Ringfield said he was working for a senator, but others said that wasn’t true. This incident made people worry about the safety of the state Capitol building and voting. The Senate is now looking into its security rules to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again.
