Charged with First-Degree Homicide: Hla Oo’s Alleged Role in the Milwaukee Shooting Incident
Surveillance Footage Reveals Fatal Encounter: Details Emerge from the Scene of the Crime
According to FOX6 Milwaukee, Milwaukee 32-year-old Hla Oo is now facing serious charges for allegedly shooting and killing Joseph Watkins on June 8. This sad event happened around 7 p.m. at the corner of 27th and State Street and was caught on video. The footage shows the two men arguing when Watkins who was 35 pushed Oo down. In response Oo is accused of pulling out a gun and shooting Watkins. Oo then left the scene in a black Honda Pilot with another person while Watkins died on the sidewalk.
After the shooting, police found a car at the scene that led them to an address near 45th and Lisbon. There, they found the black Honda Pilot parked behind a house which connected Oo to the shooting. Witnesses said the fight between Watkins and Oo started over a disagreement about cigarettes. This minor argument quickly turned deadly showing how small conflicts can sometimes lead to serious violence.
