The Trouble Started with a Routine Animal Welfare Check
According to wmtv15news, On Friday, a 46-year-old man got into trouble with the police in Wyocena, Columbia County. The trouble started when a police officer was checking on a report about an animal being mistreated. When the officer arrived at the house, he found the man drinking and had beer. The man was not supposed to drink or have alcohol because of his previous crimes.
The man didn’t listen to the officer and started fighting him. He fought for several minutes until more officers arrived to help. The man was finally arrested and taken away in handcuffs. When the police searched the house, they found many guns, which is against the law because of the man’s previous crimes.
Police Officer Injured in Fight with Suspect
The fight left two police officers hurt. One of them needed medical attention for his injuries. The man is now in jail and is facing charges of fighting with the police, having guns when he’s not supposed to, and having pepper spray. The police didn’t say if they found any animals in trouble when they first visited the house.
