According to Boston Herald in a tragic turn of events in Duxbury, Massachusetts 22-year-old Jack Callahan has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter for the death of his father, Scott Callahan. The incident occurred on June 28, 2021 when Jack then 19, and his father engaged in a physical altercation at Crocker Park. What began as a ride-share journey home from Boston escalated into a horrifying scene with Jack later submerging his father multiple times in Island Creek Pond, claiming he was “baptizing” him due to seeing a “demon” in his eyes.

As the night unfolded Duxbury police responded to reports of Jack’s erratic behavior at the family home where he was found distraught and hyperventilating. Emergency services rushed to the scene at Crocker Park discovering Scott submerged in the water. Despite efforts to save him Scott was pronounced dead upon arrival at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth.
