According to 13 WIBW in Manhattan, Kansas recent thefts under investigations by the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office. Two distinct incidents have emerged involving the disappearance of a truck and a trailer from separate locations. The initial report filed on April 17 detailed the theft of a 21-foot-long 2020 Titan utility bumper pull trailer from the 9000 block of Highway 24. The trailer notable for its black frame and wooden decking vanished over the course of the past few months prompting authorities to reconstruct the timeline of events surrounding its disappearance.

Adding complexity to the investigation a 2004 white Chevrolet 1500 regular cab was reported stolen from the 8000 block of Highway 24 on April 22. The truck adorned with a unique Z71 decal on the rear passenger side of the bed and equipped with a silver Weather Guard toolbox was discovered missing between April 19 and April 22. Despite the temporal and geographical proximity of the two thefts law enforcement officials have stated that they do not currently suspect a connection between the incidents.
