Missouri Death Row Inmate Executed After Supreme Court Denies Appeals
52-year-old Brian Dorsey was put to death on Tuesday night following the U.S. His appeals regarding the 2006 killings in central Missouri of his cousin and her husband were denied by the Supreme Court. At the Bonne Terre state prison, Dorsey was given a single pentobarbital injection and was declared dead at 6:11 p.m. Witnesses saw him inhale deeply before stopping his movements as soon as the medicine was administered. Pizza, chicken strips, French fries, and cheeseburgers were among Dorsey’s final meals.

Brian Dorsey Executed for 2006 Murders After Clemency Appeal Denied
Following his conviction, Dorsey was found guilty of killing Sarah and Ben Bonnie and abandoning their 4-year-old daughter at home. On the day of the murders, he had approached Sarah Bonnie for money. After breaking into their house with a shotgun, he sexually assaulted Sarah’s body. He tried to get clemency, but his appeal was turned down, and he was executed. In his parting remarks, Dorsey acknowledged the depth of his humiliation and regret and apologized for what he had done.
