A 31-year-old man, Damarion Goler, is now a suspect in second-degree murder after fatally stabbing his pregnant girlfriend, Talic Mersina, causing the death of both her and the unborn child.

The second-degree murder incident occurred outside their home in Sterling Heights. The second-degree murder suspect was later found with Mersina in a vehicle near his mother’s home.

He is being accused of committing second-degree murder, assault on a pregnant person, tampering with evidence, and concealing a body.

If convicted, the second-degree murder suspect could face life in prison. The second-degree murder suspect recently appeared in court for his arraignment and was remanded to jail without bond.
