Manchester man will be facing 25 years in prison after being caught producing child abuse material.
Manchester Man’s Criminal Case
Chad Lawlor, a Manchester man, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for producing child abuse material. The Manchester man pleaded guilty to exploiting minors.
The Manchester man was also found to be the administrator of an online chat group dedicated to sharing images of child abuse. The Manchester man is a registered sex offender. The Manchester man also manipulated young children into engaging in explicit conduct in private video chats that he recorded.
According to a published article by InDepthNH.org, the Manchester man’s actions were condemned by law enforcement officials, and the Manchester man was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Landya McCafferty to 25 years in prison and 30 years of supervised release.
Another Case Of A Sexual Offender
In a published article by the NZ Herald, Gideon Tobias Christian, who has a history of criminal convictions, manipulated someone to film the abuse of another person despite strict court orders against him. He faces a heavy prison sentence, but will not be given preventive detention.
Instead, he will serve at least two-thirds of a seven-year and nine-month term. Christian has a history of similar offenses, including possessing objectionable publications and assault. He was found in possession of objectionable material and violated an extended supervision order.
The Crown sought preventive detention to protect the community from his ongoing risk of offending. A forensic psychiatrist report showed he minimized his behavior and blamed others for it.
Christian’s imprisonment, firearm ban, and child sex offender registration will continue once released. His offending has escalated to video after previously using images. Justice Walker found his behavior abhorrent but not the most serious.
