Two men, Wah Say and Chit Lay have been charged with first-degree murder. Their first-degree murder charge is in connection to a deadly shooting near Fontenelle Park in Omaha.
The victim of the first-degree murder suspects, Taw Moo, 27, was found with a gunshot wound and later died in the hospital. Say, one of the first-degree murder suspects, was also booked on a separate felony warrant.
Police responded to the shooting report and after a pursuit, Say, Lay, and a 17-year-old boy in possession of a rifle were taken into custody.
Further investigation of the first-degree murder suspects revealed that the shooting was believed to be gang-related, with Say being identified as a member of a local gang.
The community was shocked by the violence, as Taw Moo, one of the first-degree murder suspects, was known to be a kind and peaceful individual.
