Mother Arrested After Father Discovers Tragic Loss of 4-Year-Old Twins
A really sad situation unfolded when a woman got arrested after her husband found their 4-year-old twins dead during a custody exchange. The dad went to Genevieve Springer’s house on Gooseberry Road to pick up the kids, who he hadn’t seen since February 26. It was a terrible discovery, and he called the police right away.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is looking into what happened, trying to figure out when the twins passed away. They haven’t said how the kids died yet, but they’re hoping that the autopsies will give more details. Genevieve Springer, who is considered the main suspect, was found in Georgia, got hospitalized, and later charged with two counts of first-degree murder. After leaving the hospital on March 2, she got arrested in Union County, Georgia, and is now in the Cherokee County Detention Center without bond.
