According to The Tribune, a tragic event during the filming of the Western movie “Rust” in October 2021 cinematographer Halyna Hutchins lost her life due to an accidental shooting with a gun loaded with live ammunition. The film’s weapons supervisor Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was convicted in a New Mexico court for involuntary manslaughter marking the first legal consequences in a case that has captured public attention for over two years. Gutierrez-Reed an actor faces trial up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine is currently in police custody awaiting sentencing. Film director Joel Souza provided emotional testimony describing the chaos and disbelief immediately after the tragic incident.

Actor Faces Trial with Alec Baldwin Trial
