According to Press Herald, on Friday night in Standish and Cornish, Maine, police caught Aaron Difillipo, 52, who they think was involved in a shooting. Officers got a call about a strange Jeep parked in someone’s driveway. When they tried to talk to Difillipo he didn’t cooperate. Instead, he took pills and drank alcohol before trying to run away in his car driving dangerously and avoiding police. The chase went through different roads with local police and the Maine State Police joining in. Eventually, they stopped Difillipo’s car on Route 5/117 in Cornish using a special move called a PIT maneuver.

When they searched Difillipo’s car, they found things that made them think he was connected to the shooting like a crossbow and rifle parts. The chase was risky for the police and one officer got hurt by a police dog during the arrest. Even with these challenges, the police from different groups worked together to catch Difillipo. Now he’s in trouble for many things like driving drunk and resisting arrest showing how serious the situation was and how fast the police acted to keep everyone safe.
