A tragedy struck at the Kimbrook Manor Apartments in Clay, New York when a Clay man fatally stabbed during a dispute with his roommate. The incident occurred on Friday morning when the victim, Brady Tyo, 32, attempted to evict his roommate Quentin Piquet, 31, from their shared residence.

According to William Fitzpatrick, the district attorney for Onondaga County, Piquet was not listed on the apartment contract, whereas Tyo and his girlfriend were. However, Toby Shelley, the sheriff of Onondaga County, stated that Piquet had been living in the apartment since July.
The deadly altercation unfolded when Tyo confronted Piquet and demanded that he vacate the property. Tragically, Tyo lost his life during this confrontation as Piquet allegedly stabbed him in the neck.
Immediately after the incident, while Tyo’s girlfriend was asleep, she promptly dialed 911 and reported what she believed to be a gunshot.

Clay Man Fatally Stabbed and Captured the Suspect
Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene, where they sadly discovered that Tyo had passed away. An hour later, police apprehended Piquet at a gas station nearby after he fled from the apartment following the stabbing.
Before this incident, Piquet had not been sentenced to state jail despite encounters with the law, such as allegations of marijuana possession and minor theft.
The unfortunate loss of a community member has deeply affected everyone leaving them in shock and mourning. Investigations into the details of the Clay man fatally stabbed are currently underway.
