Detectives charged former Mr. Bungle guitarist Theobald Lengyel with murder after discovering body parts connected to the loss of his lover Alice Kamakaokalani Herrmann.
Murder Suspect Theobald Lengyel, Former Mr. Bungle Saxophonist
During their investigation, Capitola Police found Lengyel to be a suspect. Last seen in Santa Cruz, California, on December 3, Herrmann was reported missing by her family on December 12.
When Lengyel’s home in El Cerrito, which is an hour and a half from Capitola, and Herrmann’s red Toyota Highlander SUV were found, the investigation changed topics. Unidentified human parts were found in Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley. Officers from El Cerrito said that Lengyel has not helped them with their probe. Following Herrmann’s disappearance, Lengyel went to Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Bungle began in 1985 in Eureka, California, with guitarist Theobald Lengyel highlighted. Famous musicians Mike Patton, Trey Spruance, Trevor Dunn, and Jed Watts were in the band’s first group.

Theobald Lengyel’s Commitments to Mr. Bungle and the Legal Crisis That Followed
Lengyel engineered the band’s tape “The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny” (1986) and other tracks. Before his departure in 1996, he was on their studio albums “Mr. Bungle” (1991) and “Disco Volante” (1995). Following Mr. Bungle, Lengyel appeared as Mylo Stone.
A former Mr. Bungle saxophonist was arrested and charged with murder after his girlfriend was taken and killed.
