Following in the footsteps of CBS’s success with Yellowstone, ABC is taking advantage of the fame of Hulu’s hit show “Only Murders In The Building.” People love the mystery-comedy with Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez as the lead three actors. It has become so popular that it has moved to network TV.

ABC will show the first season of “Only Murders in the Building” in two-hour blocks with three episodes each starting on January 2. The ending will not be shown. The carefully chosen show plan looks like this:

Episodes 1–3 will air on January 2 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Episodes 4 through 6 will air on January 9 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Episodes 8–9 will air on January 16 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Episode 10 will air on January 23 from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Hulu and ABC are both owned by Disney, which makes it easy for content to move between channels. Insiders say that ABC will follow broadcast standards and will work with the show’s makers to make any necessary changes, mostly to address language issues that are in line with FCC rules. Even with these changes, the shows will still air at the same times.

At first, “Only Murders In The Building” was only supposed to run for one season, similar to how CBS handled Yellowstone. However, experts in the field think that if the ABC show does well, later seasons may find a new home on network TV. As entertainment companies find the benefits of the old ad-based broadcast model, ABC’s decision to air the show suggests that popular streaming material may soon be available to more TV viewers.

Fans of the show are excited about this because it gives them a chance to relive the fun of the first season and shows that Paul Rudd could have more fun on screen. People who watch network TV can’t wait for “Only Murders In The Building” to become a regular part of their prime-time schedule.
