An Indiana mom was arrested after hitting her 10-year-old son with a hammer and stabbing herself because she feared they would be sold into sex slavery.

Indiana Mom Hits Her Son With a Hammer

An Indiana mom identified as Bethany Fleming, 32 years old, severely hit her 10-year-old son with a hammer because she feared they would be sold into sex slavery. The Indiana mom called 911 and told the dispatchers that someone would sell them.

In a published article in TRUE CRIME DAILY, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the crime scene at 1200 block of Ralph Avenue on Tuesday, Oct. 3 after the Indiana mom called. They found Bethany Fleming and her 10-year-old son suffering from life-threatening injuries.

10-Year-Old Son Needs Emergency Surgery

According to a published report in Law & Crime, the Indiana mom was standing at the door with blood coming out of her neck when the police officers arrived. She told the officials that she tried to hit her 10-year-old son in the head because someone was going to sell them into sex slavery.

Moreover, the 10-year-old bot needed emergency surgery for a skull fracture and a brain bleed. The medics also said that the boy’s condition was “touch and go”. The medical officials did not yet disclose any information about the victim’s condition.

Furthermore, the Indiana mom was charged with attempted murder after she was released from the hospital and she is now in custody at the Allen County Jail.
