Charlotte Sena, the 9-year-old girl who went missing on Saturday while on a bike ride in an upstate New York park was found safe and sound, New York State police disclosed on Monday evening.

Alleged Abduction Case Of The 9-Year-Old Girl

Although the 9-year-old girl has been located, the investigation remains active as a suspect was held in custody. According to ABC News, the 9-year-old girl was biking with other children at Moreau Lake State Park on the said evening until she opted to solely ride around. The 9-year-old girl’s parents then became wary when the fourth-grader was unable to return after 15 minutes. The 9-year-old girl’s mother tipped off 911 after her bicycle was discovered about 6:45 p.m.

Initial Police Scheme To Locate The 9-Year-Old Girl

As authorities suspected a case of abduction, they conducted a thorough search on Sunday where over 100 searchers participated in the attempt. The 9-year-old girl was reportedly wearing an orange tie-dye Pokemon shirt, dark blue pants, black Crocs, and a grey bike helmet. The 9-year-old girl’s physiques include blonde hair and green eyes, about 4 feet 6 inches tall. The unnamed suspect, according to Y! News, has a record of sexual abuse and a criminal history. He allegedly left a note at the 9-year-old girl’s parent’s house which conceivably demanded ransom money.
