Escaped Murderer’s Development

Danelo Cavalcante, the escaped murderer who allegedly “crab walked” out of a Pennsylvania jail while awaiting his transfer to a state prison over a week ago, is still off the hook. In 2017, the escaped murderer was accused of “double qualified homicide” in Brazil; according to reports, he brutally killed his girlfriend to stop her from informing the police about his crime; and last week, he was proven guilty and sentenced to life in prison with a first-degree murder charge in 2021.

Lt. Col. George Bivens of the Pennsylvania Police Department provided updates on the case of the escaped murderer on Sunday. According to Bivens, the escaped murderer allegedly drove a stolen white 2020 Ford Transit van with a refrigeration unit on top, belonging to Baily’s Dairy, on Saturday between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM. The van was headed to East Pikeland Township and Phoenixville. Later, the escaped murderer left the van behind a barn near East Nantmeal, in part because it was running low on fuel.

The escaped murderer was captured on a doorbell video the same evening, about a forty-minute drive from his previous location. The murderer then made contact with two former coworkers, but they were both not at home. At the time, the first co-worker was having dinner with his family and afterward dialed the police.

The escaped murderer was seen in the doorbell camera photographs released on Sunday with a clean-shaven beard, a yellow or green hooded sweatshirt, a black baseball cap, green prison pants, and white shoes.

Escaped Murderer’s Police Measures

After a reporter questioned Biven about the escaped murderer’s getaway from authorities despite the involvement of more than 500 officers in the manhunt operation, Biven reaffirmed his confidence in bringing him back. While the escaped murderer was still at large, according to Biven, no perimeter was completely secure. According to additional reports, police shifted their focused search to the area where the escaped murderer was last seen.

Previous reports indicated that the escaped murderer had been seen numerous times since his breakout. Following his escape last week, establishments had been temporarily closed. On the other hand, after one report of the escaped murderer in the vicinity, school districts called off classes for a day. The escaped murderer’s successful breakout from the jail yard went unnoticed for an hour, which led to the dismissal of the on-duty prison tower guard.
