The man who was charged with making terrorist threats after being detained with guns and maybe explosives during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally appeared in court on September 6th.

Terrorist threats related

In relation to one count of making terrorist threats and one count of having a hoax substance or device with the intent to cause fear, John Charles Matthew Mann, 42, entered a not guilty plea. Reports from KOTA TV.

Apparently on his way to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Mann, a resident of Washington State, was detained during a routine traffic stop.

Police  discovered guns and more

In a report from KOTA TV, law authorities allegedly discovered two AR-15s, body armor, three handguns, bomb-making supplies, and a device that looked like a pipe bomb when Mann was stopped over. The hundreds of pages long manifesto Manifesto: Descent into the Rational Justification for Genocide was also discovered by law enforcement. The manifesto featured descriptions of homicide, mass murder, kidnapping, child sex abuse, and suicidal ideation.

Mann will be detained until the testing of the potentially explosive devices is finished under a $250,000 bond.

On September 20, he will return to court for a hearing regarding his bond.
