Boston city is within the United States top 6 cities for hate crimes. Considered among the most dangerous cities in Massachusetts, avoid exploring the city alone at night, especially if you belong in a minority group and are new with the local’s atmosphere.

The city of Boston has a high incidence of hate crimes. Southwest Journal recommends steering clear of Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park, South Boston, Back Bay-Beacon Hill, Mattapan, South Dorchester, North Dorchester, South End, Roxbury, and Central neighborhoods. These turned out to be Boston neighborhoods to avoid because of its high crime rates, poor housing conditions, high unemployment rates, absence of essential services such as healthcare and education, and low-income levels.
