A report in KNWA NEWS24, the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration said that the Sales Tax Holiday enables consumers to buy specific goods such apparel, some electronic gadgets, school supplies, and art supplies without having to pay sales tax.
Tax-Free Weekend begins in Arkansas at 1:00 a.m. from 11:59 p.m. on August 5 on Saturday. on August 6th, Sunday. Sales taxes from the state and local governments won’t apply to some items. This implies that you will actually save at least 6.5%.
The majority of school supplies and technological study aids are also included in the sale, along with clothing and shoes priced under $100, clothing accessories, and equipment priced under $50. Jewelry and cosmetics are included.
Online purchases are eligible, but they must be delivered to an Arkansas address.

Sales Tax Holiday
Act 757 established the Sales Tax Holiday in 2011. It permits the sale of clothing and shoes with a minimum purchase price of $100, clothing accessories and equipment with a minimum purchase price of $50, school supplies, school art supplies, and school instructional materials.
From August 4 through August 6, certain purchases will be exempt from sales tax for Oklahoman consumers. Any garment or footwear costing less than $100 is included in the approved products exempt from tax.
