49ers news: Ricky Pearsall’s mom says the bullet missed his vital organs

San Francisco 49ers first-round pick and rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was the victim of an armed robbery attempt over the weekend, where a 17-year-old suspect from Tracy, California, has since been arrested for attempting to steal Pearsall’s Rolex.

Pearsall was headed to a signing event in San Francisco, where he and the suspect were shot before they were taken to the SF General Hospital. Ricky’s mom, Erin, provided an update on Facebook about her son and the details on Sunday morning:

That is terrifying to think about from a parent’s perspective, not knowing how your child is holding up. Thankfully, Ricky was fortunate to avoid any further serious injury. Pearsall remained in the hospital overnight.
