Mother and Boyfriend Charged with Murder After 6-Year-Old’s Death
Investigation Uncovers Severe Abuse, Including Confinement and Physical Assault
According to True Crime News, in a tragic case from Madison Heights, Michigan Elaina Jennings 25 and her boyfriend Daniel Giacchina 32 have been charged with the murder of Jennings’ 6-year-old son Giovanni “Chulo” Jennings. On July 30 Giovanni was found unconscious and taken to the hospital where he died that night. An autopsy revealed he died from blunt force trauma to his abdomen and a perforated bowel, resulting from extended abuse and confinement.
The investigation revealed a horrifying pattern of abuse. Giovanni was kept in a pen, beaten, and even stapled to a wall as punishment. Authorities discovered disturbing videos, photos, and messages that documented the abuse showing severe bruises and cuts all over Giovanni’s body. The couple allegedly used a BB gun and a ghost gun to inflict further harm. They also neglected to seek medical help for the child fearing that the abuse would be uncovered.
