Luxury Car Theft Ring Busted in Tarrant County After Year-Long Investigation
Thieves Targeted High-End Vehicles at Popular Malls and Sold them Across Borders
Authorities in Tarrant County have shut down a major car theft ring after a year-long investigation found a group stealing luxury vehicles across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Grapevine Police started looking into the problem in early 2023 after a rise in car thefts especially from places like Grapevine Mills Mall. They discovered a group stealing expensive cars and selling them both in the U.S. and across the border into Mexico.
The investigation which involved several local police departments led to the arrest of seven people: Henry Actwood Jr., Dylan Correa, Gavin Correa, Cristian Morel, Jeremiah Morel, Kevin Oates Jr., and Jose Perez. These suspects are now facing charges for being part of an organized crime group. The police linked them to over 200 car thefts in North Texas, including in cities like Irving, Addison, Grand Prairie, Euless, and Dallas.

Breaking up this car theft ring is a big win for local law enforcement. It shows they can tackle serious crime and protect their communities. As the suspects face their charges police are still working to understand the full scope of the ring’s activities and how it affected the area, according to the report of Fox 4 News.
