51-Year-Old Man Arrested, Charged with Evidence Tampering in 30-Year-Old’s Mysterious Marina Death

League City Police have arrested 51-year-old James Hart, the boyfriend of 30-year-old Giselle Salazar-Tapia.

Boyfriend’s Disturbing Behavior Raises Suspicions in Marina Dock Death

In a sad development, League City Police have arrested 51-year-old James Hart in connection with the death of his 30-year-old girlfriend, Giselle Salazar-Tapia. Her body was found on May 31 hanging from a rope at a marina dock. Investigators believe the scene looked staged to look like a suicide because of unusual details like the way her arm was positioned.

Hart, who was Salazar-Tapia’s boyfriend reacted strongly when the police arrived. He was on a boat at the marina and got very upset refusing to leave the boat at first. After a difficult negotiation, officers managed to get him off the boat. His reaction and the suspicious circumstances around Salazar-Tapia’s death led police to investigate him closely, according to the report of True Crime Daily.

Man Charged with Evidence Tampering in Mysterious Death of Marina Resident

On July 25, Hart was charged with tampering with evidence to cover up a body. He is now being held in Galveston County Jail. Salazar-Tapia’s death is a huge loss for her family, as she leaves behind four children. The couple had been living together on the boat at the marina where the tragic event took place.
