Surveillance Footage Key in Identifying Suspect in Rose Dieujuste Case

On July 4 a 13-year-old girl called Rose Dieujuste was found dead stabbed in a utility closet in Orange County, Florida. The discovery was uncovered with the help of Orange County deputies responding to a complaint at an apartment complex, according to True Crime News. Rose was struggling for her life while only wearing a half garment which Sheriff John Mina characterized as a tragic scene. Sadly, she passed away at the hospital due to her wounds in spite of attempts to save her. Rose Dieujuste was attacked in the opinion of Sheriff Mina while she was traveling to another building in the complex to meet with a friend. The family was informed by her friend who found Rose’s shoes and phone but not her. Rose’s family later found her in the closet and attempted to bring her back to life. An important part of identifying the suspect, Jerry Dorisme aged 28 was surveillance footage. Prior to the incident, Dorisme could be seen in the video following Rose Dieujuste. Along with the knife packing that was discovered at the scene investigators reportedly saw Dorisme buy a comparable weapon from a neighboring store which they believe was used in the crime.
