Missouri drivers who filled up their gas tanks last year may be eligible for a partial refund on the 2.5-cent tax increase per gallon. The refund is available for gas purchases made between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024, according to the report of Ozarks First.
To apply, drivers must provide specific information including the vehicle identification number, date of sale, and other details. The deadline to submit claims is September 30, 2024.

Missouri Gas Tax Refund Available
The tax increase was authorized by Governor Mike Parson in 2021 to fund road and bridge upgrades in Missouri. The tax hike will remain in effect until 2025.
