According to 93.7 FM Kiro News Radio, a tragic I-5 altercation inside a car traveling near Federal Way resulted in one death and three injuries on Wednesday. The incident involved four Americans in a black BMW and has led to significant traffic delays in the area. The fight broke out among the passengers and driver while the car was moving, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP). The man behind the wheel died from a stab wound. The three passengers were all injured and were rushed to the hospital for treatment. One man had multiple gunshot wounds, another man was stabbed and a woman was also stabbed. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reported that this violent event caused a major traffic backup on I-5 north stretching six miles into Tacoma. As of 6:40 p.m. the two right lanes and the off-ramp to the SeaTac rest area are still blocked. There is no estimated time for reopening and officials are advising drivers to find alternative routes. Emergency responders and state troopers are currently on the scene and working to clear the area and investigate the incident. The cause of the I-5 altercation is still unknown and authorities have not released the identities of those involved.
