According to fox5sandiego, Golden Hall, a homeless shelter in San Diego, will be closing its doors after five years. The shelter was used to help people who didn’t have a place to live. It was important to many people who stayed there because it gave them a place to rest and feel safe.

The city officials don’t think keeping the shelter open is a good idea because it would cost too much money – $9 million. Instead, they will move the 260 people who live there to other shelters that are already available. A spokesperson for the city said that everyone will have a new place to go and no one will be left on the streets.
