Apple is giving $35 million to fix iPhone 7 and 7 Plus audio problems and people who had these phones and told Apple about the issues or paid for fixes between September 16, 2016, and January 3, 2023, can get money but they need to apply by June 3, 2024.
According to the published article in The US Sun, Apple has agreed to pay $35 million to settle claims that iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models had audio problems because of faulty chips. The lawsuit said Apple knew about the problem but often didn’t fix the phones for free. Even though Apple hasn’t admitted to any wrongdoing people who had these iPhone 7 and 7 Plus phones between September 16, 2016, and January 3, 2023, might get money from the settlement.
To get money, users must have reported the audio problem to Apple or paid for repairs. Depending on what they did they could get between $50 and $349. People who only complained but didn’t pay for repairs might get $125. They have until June 3, 2024, to file a claim and the final court approval is on July 18, 2024.
